Cancer: Past, Present, Future

My father in law told a horrific story last night. He is 78 years old and watched his grandfather die of cancer. He said he doesn't remember being told what type of cancer. Every time his mother took him to the hospital, his granddad was missing another appendage. The doctors cut off his limbs as the cancer progressed.

I believe we will look back on cancer treatment in the year 2010 and harangue ourselves for our gullibility. We will look back and see that doctors followed the old adage, "Insure heavily and burn."

Currently, people who are diagnosed with cancer are counselled on three methods of "cure": chemo, surgery and radiation. It is considered a cure for the patient to live 5 years after these treatments. I don't believe this is any less barbaric than amputation of limbs.

In the future we will harness the immune system to fight cancer.
  • we will consider cancer an external invader and assist the miraculous human body in expunging the beast
  • we will counsel from both sides of medicine both traditional and alternative
  • we will consider the soul and prayer when researching a cure
  • we will harness the cancer itself to create a vaccination personally suited to the patient
  • we will challenge the patient to cure himself with oxygenation and foods which supply oxygen to the blood
  • we will require abstinence from foods that are carcinogenic, preservative-laden and chemical based
  • we will acknowledge the role of sugar and protein in cancer growth
  • we will intake only alkaline producing foods to push pH levels toward alkalinity

I can see it now!
